Hi, this is Diana. Bright knowledge instants give you one thing you can do today to move your creativity ahead. When we talk about creating and learning, the question of fear comes up very, very often, many times a day. And how can we tell the difference between fear that really is a good warning sign and fear that simply a reflection of a growth opportunity? In many ways, how we learn is through mistakes and through experimenting, through playing literally.
This is what beginner's mind is. So there's less fear and judgment around so called mistakes or drafts, we could say. So how can you tell if something really is warning you this is not for you. In other words, the fear is valid. And what is simply a sense of expanding, a sense of growth, which can give us the butterflies. A very quick way is to check in with your gut.
Okay, how do we do this in a nutshell? I recommend centering and I have some videos about that. But if you haven't learned how to center yet, you can still do this by simply stopping breathing. And you're literally going to breathe in and out several times, slowly, yet naturally, you don't need to force anything. Feel yourself start to come back to yourself, back to a sense of peace.
And from this calm state, think about the question that is giving you fear. Feel it in your gut now. If you feel extreme constriction, almost like a mortal terror, it's a warning sign that maybe right now this thing, whatever it is, might be too much. But if instead there's a sense of butterflies or a sense of anticipation, a sense of anxiety, and yet there's a sense of possibility this is a growth opportunity instead.
So check in with your gut to see is this fear a true fear, and right now it might be too much for me, or is this a growth opportunity? Your gut will tell you once you're centered and let that wisdom of your body come back into play. Let me know how this goes for you. Bye.
