Hi, this is Diana. Bright knowledge instants give you one thing you can do today to move your creativity ahead. And today I'd like to talk about building resilience. And as artists, we need resilience. You know, we're sensitive souls, and as we create and put ever more genuine work out there, it is a vulnerable place to be. And so we want to consciously build resilience. And it can be done.
And how it can be done is not no pain, no gain. It's actually by logging your positive experiences, by having a well of positive experiences that you can draw from, your resilience grows, your ability to bounce back from adversity grows. So what I recommend is in your practice journal. So whether it be like this or simply like this, write down positive things that have happened to you today.
And I'd love you to collect them in the back of your practice journal. So starting in the back and then moving forward, as you collect this beautiful well, as you fill up your well of positivity, so that you can at any moment where you're feeling a little down or a little disheartened, a little bit frightened, you would flip to all these positive experiences and remember them and re inhabit that state of confidence.
The root of the word confidence is fides, faith, having faith in yourself. And by reading all these positive experiences you've had, your faith comes back in yourself. So again, this can be consciously cultivated. Write your positive experiences each day in your journal towards the back, so then you can work forward. And as bonus points, as you're reading those wonderful experiences and feeling this positivity, tap that in. There seems to be a chemical reaction that we have when we tap right between our eyes here that it heightens the experience and it also locks it in more deeply so that when you want to recall this sense of confidence and faith in yourself, you can more readily do it.
You can flip right back into that positive state. So try that today in your journal and it could just be starting out with post its. Write down positive things that have happened to you today. Just start with one for now. And you will build up over the weeks a wonderful well to draw from. And that gives you resilience. Bye.
