Delving into your younger years for inspiration (BKI 30 in Nicosia, Cyprus)

We’ve been working on reclaiming on a grand scale the past this month. And integrating this reclaiming into our present lives so that we are completely in touch with our creativity. Today I’m coming to your from the beautiful island of Cyprus, where I spent my teenage years. Being in this magical place is bringing back my old memories, dreams, desires. It’s putting me back in Beginners Mind, one of the cornerstones of creativity. Reconnect to your younger years Our teenage years - besides the angst we’re happy to leave behind! - are amongst our most formative and passionate. Delving back into those times can unearth hopes and dreams you might have forgotten, plus give you satisfaction of having come a long way. Meet me in Cyprus where I share some of my teenage stories and hope to inspire you to do the same!

Hi, this is Diana. Bright Knowledge instance give you one thing that you can do to move your creativity ahead today. And today I am in beautiful Nicosia, Cyprus. I grew up here in all of my high school years. And I'll show you some video of what it looks like as I'm spending time here. It reminds me of what it was like for me as a teenager as. And the influences that I had.

You know, the culture, the philosophy, the whole approach to life and how much it's affected everything I do today. So with my music, it's such a cultural crossroads and so is Cyprus. I'm very interested in history and right here I'm in the old town. I've been staying in the old town, which goes way back to medieval times. And you can see the remnants of all of this very, very clearly.

It's like everyday life. And at the same time it's a modern city, very vibrant, and this is the capital of Cyprus. So what I would like you to do today is to remember your teenage years. What were you called towards during those years? What were the passions that you had and the interests that you had, and how do they play into your life today? How can they inspire your creativity?

Because those teenage years are so emotional and so evol. Provocative that they contain a lot of information, a lot of inspiration for you. So think back to those days and I know not all the memories will be great. Not all my teenage memories are great at all. But many of them are fantastic and powerful. So try them today for yourself. You can hear people speaking Greek. And that was another influence on me, having all these languages around me.
